The world final grid will be pretty much as above with the inside half of the grid being made up of the 1st Semi. Row 3, 6, 9 and 12 will be filled by forign enterants, yet to be confirmed, and decided via the usual timed laps over the course of the World Final weekend at Buxton. A further 2 drivers may qualify via the consolation semi final which is held on the day before at Buxton.

Current World Champion, Ian Thompson Jnr failed to qualify through the semi final, but may take his seeded place at the back of the grid, or he may try and better the position by taking part  in the consolation semi the day before. No matter which route he decides to take, it will be a big task to come through the field, and with a grid like the one we see forming, it is going to be a very lively race indeed.

E.D.S. and RCE 123 At Buxton!

The meeting final at Buxton Raceway on Sunday 9th Aug, saw a 123 for E.D.S. Motorsport and RCE!

A truely dominant drive by 901 Ian Thompson Jnr secured the win, whilst a hard chasing #7 Gordon Moodie finished a close 2nd. #154 Steve Green Jnr drove home in 3rd. All 3 drivers are proudly supported by E.D.S. Motorsport and all drive the RCE cars. This may well be a sign of things to come in the World final next month again at Buxton Raceway.

Before the world final, all 3 must qualify via the semi finals at Taunton later this month, which will be no mean feat!

European Championship Won By Gordon Moodie.

Gordon Moodie today seccured the Europian Championship title at Northampton. This is his second championship title of 2009, and comes just 7 days after he drove to victory in the U.K. Open.

The race was best described as challenging to say the least, as the Great British weather did it's worst. Starting off the 6th row, Moodie drove without fault, in the top 2 places for much of the 25 lap race. The last lap and the rain was having a large part to play. Mark Simpson was pushing hard in 3rd behind Chris Burgoyne, both were at this point now right on the back bumper of Moodie. Moodie saw what was going to happen and took a wide line allowing Simpson to push Burgoyne hard, both went in to the corner deep, Moodie squared up and passed them both cleanly and opened up enough of a lead to avoid any trouble on the last bend, driving on to claim victory.

Other notable drives over the weekend, Steve Green Junior took a heat win on both days whilst Steve Green Snr claimed a heat victory also. Chris Cort lead his heat for a few laps finishing second to Mick Sworder and Andy Catell achieved good finishes of 2nd and 3rd over the two days.

E.D.S. Motorsport and Ramair Help Power Gordon Moodie To U.K. Open Victory.

Congratulations to Gordon Moodie upon securing his first championship title of 2009.

The U.K. Open took place at Skegness 12th July. The race was fast and furious to say the least, but Moodie drove a calculated race to claim victory. Moodie has been using the new Ramair Air Filter from E.D.S. Motorsport since his return to racing at the begining of July, and whilst this is by no means the reason for his success, the filter is certainly allowing the engine to perform very well indeed. With only one more qualifying round for the World Championship to go, Moodie has already seccured his place well up the grid for the semi finals which take place at Taunton.
